OVERVIEW 


This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) described on this page defines what data we collect from the Users, how and when we use such data.  


“We”, “us”, “our”, “Company”, “Optroute”, “OptRoute” shall refer to OPTROUTE LOGISTICS TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED.


“You”, “User”, “your” shall refer to you, an individual.  


“Parcel”, “Goods”, “Package”, “Item” shall refer to material that is to be transported from one place to another. 


“Consigner”, “Source”, “Sender” shall refer to the individual / business / organization who is in possession of the item(s) and wishes to transport the items to another person or another location.


“Consignee”, “Destination”, “Receiver” shall refer to the individual / business / organization who will be in possession of the item(s) after the successful delivery of the said items to the individual / business / organization


“Logistics Service” is a facility involving one or more steps by which  Customers can transport items from one location to another. 


“Driver”, “Independent Third-Party Logistics Service Provider”, “Contractor” shall refer to an individual / business / organization having a vehicle willing to provide logistics service. Such drivers on our platform are working independently and are not employed by us. 


“Customer”, “Client” shall refer to the User of our application who wants to avail logistics service made available by the Drivers on our application. 


“Subscription Period” shall refer to the time duration from the time a Driver starts or renews an Account on our application in Driver user mode. 


“Service(s)” shall refer to any of the services, application, website, digital and social media accounts made available by us. 


“Applicable Law” refers to all laws, statutes, ordinance, regulations, guidelines, policies, rules, bye-laws, notifications, directions, directives and orders or other governmental restrictions or any similar form of decision of, or determination by, or any interpretation, administration and other pronouncements having the effect of law of India or any other applicable jurisdiction by state, municipality, court, tribunal, government, ministry, department, commission, arbitrator or board or such other body which has the force of law in India.



We are committed to keeping all of the information and data provided by you safe. We may collect data when using any of the Services provided by us. The storage and use of any data collected from the Users of our Services is governed by the Policy mentioned on this page. 


This policy is part of the Terms (TERMS OF USE) mentioned on this page. 


By using any of our Services, you grant us the permission to collect the data in accordance with the Policy described on this page. In case you do not agree to the Policy, stop using all of our Services immediately. 



USER MODES ON OUR APPLICATION / PLATFORM


There are two user modes that our application allows:

  • Driver

    • This user mode is for individuals who are independent third party logistics service providers. It is expected that such a user has a vehicle that he or she is eligible to drive legally under the applicable law in the region they wish to provide their service.

  • Customer

    • This user mode is for individuals who are looking for logistics service for their material to be delivered from one place to another place



THE DATA WE COLLECT  


We collect the data from the Users of the Services (application) offered by us. 


DATA PROVIDED BY USERS 


This constitutes the data provided by the users of our application at the time of Account creation, account completion, account approval, and while using the application. 


  • Location data : It is needed for identifying the area the User is located in. 

  • Profile information : We collect profile information when a User creates an Account or updates any information associated with his / her Account on our application. Profile information contains following elements 

    • Phone number / mobile number

    • Drivers and Customers 

    • Profile photo 

    • Name 

    • Age 

  • Device ID 

  • In the case of Driver, we collect some more data to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This data (Driver KYC data) include: 

    • Driver License number and photo of Driver License (in case of Driver)

    • Registration number (or License Plate number) of the vehicle and photo of the vehicle (in case of Driver)

    • Basic details of vehicle (that is to be used for providing logistics services) like number of wheels, fuel type, payload capacity (in case of Driver)

  • Contact Information from contact book : 

    • In the case of Customer who places a delivery request, we collect Sender and Receiver contact information to be communicated to the Driver who is going to service the request. 

    • In such a case, the user may choose the option to select from the contact book saved in the phone by giving us the permission to open the contact list.



DATA CREATED AND COLLECTED WHILE USING OUR APPLICATION


This constitutes the data created (and collected by us) while using our application for availing and fulfilling logistics service 

  • Pick-up (source) and drop (destination) locations. 

  • Information about Goods to be transported.

  • Current location of User.

  • Contact information of Sender as well as Receiver of the Goods to be transported.

  • Live location and Background location data (in case of Driver).

  • Rating provided by Users.


HOW WE USE THE DATA WE COLLECT 


STORAGE 

The data we collect from the Users of our services get stored safely on our server. We use reasonable safety and encryption procedures to avoid any vulnerability. Our server may or may not be located in India. 


SAFETY 

The data stored on our servers is accessible only from the application officially provided by us and the server itself and IT admins of Optroute. 


DATA SHARING 

The data we collect does not get shared with any third-party unrelated to the application without the consent of the User. your data will be shared with the customer or driver who is the other party participating in your transaction. When you use our Service for availing or providing logistics services, your data will be shared to the User who is going to provide the services that you seek. Similarly, Drivers information will be made available to the Customer to whom Driver has accepted to provide Third-party service. The data involving one transaction will not be shared with anyone after the transaction has completed


COOKIES, THIRD-PARTY LINKS, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES  


We use cookies on our application / website in order to provide the Services we offer. Cookies are used to:

  • Identify the User login information 

  • Save User selected settings on our application 


Our application utilizes some of the Third-party services in order to provide the best user experience possible. These Third-party services include OpenStreetMap, Google Places API and Payment Gateway and Firebase. Third-party services may collect data made available by Users while using these Third-Party services in our application. When using theseThird-party services in our application, you accept the terms and privacy policy for such Third-party services.


 


USER ACCOUNT DELETION, TERMINATION AND BLOCKING OF USER ACCOUNT(S)

You can ask to delete your account on our application. The data associated with the account that is for the duration before such a deletion request will still be stored on our server. We can Deactivate, terminate, or block access to certain or all the features or Services for any User at the Company’s sole discretion with or without any prior notice. Your access to our application or for any or all of the Services we provide can be deactivated, blocked or terminated for any, more or all of the following reasons:

  • Non-payment of the subscription fee 

  • Engaging in unlawful, illegal or prohibited activity under Applicable Law

  • Non-completion of the service for the request(s) that you accept through our application.

  • Unintended use of our Services 

  • Violation of the Terms mentioned on this page.
